Computer Aided Design and 3D Printing

  • Computer-aided design for prototyping. Modeling using computer-aided design software of designs, ideas and prototypes of the center's researchers.


  • Medical image segmentation. Generation of three-dimensional anatomical models from medical imaging studies (CT, MRI, etc.).


  • Medical image processing for 3D printing. 3D mesh processing for subsequent manufacturing in 3D printers. Error correction, support design, etc.


  • 3D printing in fused filament technology. Manufacture of models and prototypes with molten filament printers. The pieces will be manufactured according to the needs required, being able to modify the printing materials, mechanical properties of the pieces, resolutions, etc.


  • 3D printing in light-curing resins (normal and medical grade). Manufacture of models and prototypes with light-curing resin printers. The parts will be manufactured according to the needs required, being able to modify the printing materials, mechanical properties of the parts, resolutions, etc.


All the equipment will be managed by the Responsible Technician.
