Prof. Helen H. Hobbs, M.D., is an Investigator of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and a Professor of Internal Medicine and Molecular Genetics at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
On October 28th, 2024, she was awarded the title of “IBiS Distinguished Investigator” in recognition of her groundbreaking discoveries of human genetic variants that alter the levels and distribution of cholesterol and other lipids that have inspired new treatments to the prevention of cardiovascular and liver disease.
